Berlin - Thun, gegensätzlicher geht es kaum.

Im Westteil der Grossstadt geboren und aufgewachsen, den Wandel einer geteilten Stadt zur urbanen Metropole miterlebt, bin ich vor etwa 20 Jahren in die Schweiz gezogen und lebe jetzt in der Nähe von Thun. Direkt am Thunersee im Berner Oberland habe ich meine neue Heimat gefunden.

Mein Interesse an der Fotografie wurde bereits früh geweckt, doch erst mit dem Kauf einer digitalen Spiegelreflexkamera im Sommer 2009 begann ich, mich intensiver mit ihr zu beschäftigen. Seit 2014 fotografiere ich mit einer Leica M.

Fotografie bedeutet für mich Freiheit, Kreativität und die Möglichkeit, immer wieder neue Perspektiven zu entdecken. Mich reizt an der Fotografie die zeitlose, freie und unabhängige Art, in der ich mich mit meinen Motiven beschäftigen kann.I ch möchte mich dabei nicht auf einen bestimmten Stil festlegen, sondern fotografieren, was mich gerade inspiriert. Besonders gerne halte ich besondere Momente auf Reisen fest.

Born and raised in the western part of the city, I witnessed the transformation of a divided city into an urban metropolis, moved to Switzerland a few years ago and now live near Thun. I found my new home directly on Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland.

My interest in photography was sparked at an early age, but it was only when I bought a digital SLR camera in the summer of 2009 that I began to explore it in greater depth. I have been taking photographs with a Leica M since 2014.

 For me, photography means freedom, creativity and the chance to discover new perspectives time and time again. What appeals to me about photography is the timeless, free and independent way in which I can engage with my subjects. I don’t want to limit myself to a particular style, but rather to photograph whatever inspires me at the time. I particularly enjoy capturing special moments whilst travelling.
